Issue #16

Sept 15, 2019

Dear friends,

Welcome to the 16th issue of the Sunday Briefing. This week we look at street network orientations from OpenStreetMap and how to build deep learning OCR models to automatically read license plates. We also include a reminder of the sunsetting of Python 2 in Jan 2020 and try to understand bias in ML and the mathematical foundations of visualization. Finally, for our video of the week we have an interesting (and long) tutorial on Time series analysis by Aileen Nielsen at PyCon 2017.

Thank you for being a subscriber and lets get your week started with the latest developments in Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence!

If you think one of your friends or colleagues would enjoy this newsletter, just go ahead and forward this email to them and help us grow!

Semper discentes,
